Meranti Hall, All-weather zoo Münster

Doors to tropical animal worlds

A jungle adventure extends over 4000 square meters in the Allwetterzoo in Münster. Even from the outside, the Meranti Hall impresses with its enormous foil dome, which rises 16 meters into the air. Inside, visitors can experience exotic animals and an impressive plant world up close. The hall owes its name to a group of tropical hardwoods: the Meranti Hall at the Allwetterzoo Münster serves as a new home for a total of 15 exotic animal species, including lowland tapirs, giant otters, howler monkeys, anteaters, mongooses as well as amphibians, reptiles and birds, and is a unique project in Europe in this form. The main protagonists here are definitely the animal inhabitants; the doors in and to the enclosures, which blend in perfectly with the spectacular backdrop thanks to the matching painting, are stylishly set back.
